I love having a two-year old...

most of the time.
Jayden makes me laugh so much. So here are some stories about our little man.
We are potty training (which some days are beter than). When he has an accident he has to stand in the corner for two minutes with his nose on the wall. He knows better than to go in his pants, that is why he is punished. Here is a picture of Jayden in time out.

Another potty training story, MeMaw and Pop were visiting and helping Jayden in the bathroom. He said "my pants are wet." Pop said "No, I don't think they are." Jayden got stern and pointed his finger and said "They Are WET!"

We went to JeffCity and Shelbina for Gpa Tines estate sale and went to visit Grandpa in the Villa. Jayden got to ride on Pop's new tractor. It is a John Deer. For a little while, Jayden insisted that it was a a John Brown tractor. Now he is obsessed with John Deere and anything that is green and yellow must be a John Deere.

It has been interesting to see how he is taking on more and more traits of a first born child. He is so particular about keeping things on a schedule. I just wish he was a little more picky about his toys being picked up.

I am strongly considering putting him in preschool in the fall. He seems a little bored at home and is such a social kid. We are taking a gymnastics class this summer. I will keep you posted about what we decide.

Jacob is growing so fast-we make chubby babies at our house! He has started sleeping better at night-another 5 hour stretch last night! Yea for Mommy!!

stuff-I will add more later!

We survived a week without Josh. His parents came down to help me manage the boys and I think that is the only reason I did not go insane! For Father's Day, I painted and decorated Josh's office. Friday, I picked him up at the airport and we drove to Jeff City. Then on Saturday, we drove up to Shelbina/Shelbyville for Gpa Tine's estate sale. It went well and the house sold. Joyce was so glad to get the day over. It was hot, hot, hot!
Today was a crazy day getting the boys back on a schedule. We are getting there though.

Dr. Jayden

So, today, Jayden became Dr. Jayden.
Jacob was fussy all morning, so I gave him some gas drops. A couple hours later, I went to the bathroom and I heard Jacob start crying very hard and coughing. I ran out to find Jayden standing over his baby brother with the bottle of Mylocon drops. "What are you doing?!!" "I giving him medicine." I snatched the bottle out of his hands to find that it was half empty. "How much did you give him?" I demanded. "I gave him many." he replied.
I rush downstairs and called poison control. They reassured me that everything would be ok and that Mylocon drops are non-toxic and that there was no harm done.
I really think that he was trying to help. When Jacob had cried earlier, I had given him medicine so when he started crying again, he gave him medicine.
We had to have a talk about not giving baby Jacob medicine again. Only Mommy or Daddy can do that.
